If all had gone to plan, I would be typing this from Boston after a sunrise skyline shoot with all the NxNW (annual photoblogger get-together) crowd. Unfortunately, a large storm system stretching from Austin to somewhere in eastern Canada put paid to my travel plans for yesterday so I’m still at home. American Airlines did a great job of getting me rebooked for a flight this morning so hopefully things will go better today.
This shot was taken last year at Dead Horse Point State Park outside Moab in Utah. If you’re looking for a Grand Canyon experience with more interesting views and no crowds, I can very strongly recommend this location. We spent a fabulous morning here during NxNW 2013.
Sorry about the flight Dave – hoping today goes better! Wonderful image – these landscapes are so vast and beautiful, we sometimes miss the details and you’ve captured them here wonderfully!
Thanks, Edith. As you can probably tell, I got up there by dinner time on Friday. While I missed shooting some excellent locations in Boston, at least I didn’t miss the Maine section of the trip.
