West 2nd Street

We’ll stay in the general vicinity of Austin’s Seaholm development for today’s picture. This shows some of the new buildings on West 2nd Street as seen through the arch of the new bridge by the Central Library.

This was taken on the same photowalk as yesterday’s picture and, once again, illustrates the wonderfully sharp images I’m getting from the Olympus cameras. Despite a smaller sensor and lower resolution capture, I’m finding the overall sharpness to be better than I would typically get with the Nikon bodies. Part of this is likely the built-in image stabilization system but a lot of it, I expect, is due to the low weight of the camera and lenses making it a lot easier for me to hold them steady.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/11
  • Camera: E-M5MarkII
  • Exposure bias: -7/10EV
  • Focal length: 22mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/400s
