Dunblane Cathedral

This is an image of the beautiful cathedral in Dunblane, Scotland from our summer 2019 trip. I always thought it odd that a relatively small town like Dunblane (population around 9000) should have such an impressive cathedral. It has been around since the 12th century, though, and the town was probably more prominent as a seat of power back in those days.

I processed this shot from 5 handheld brackets using Skylum’s AuroraHDR and aimed for a realistic result. Hopefully that worked!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.6
  • Camera: E-M5MarkII
  • Exposure bias: -1EV
  • Focal length: 14mm
  • ISO: 1600
  • Shutter speed: 1/50s
