Cadillac Ranch II

The paint is so thick on many of the car parts at Amarillo’s Cadillac Ranch that they are losing their shape. In some cases, you can find paint-drip stalactites hanging down from the wheels.

This shot was taken on my first visit to Cadillac Ranch last Friday. The temperatures were in the mid 30s (Fahrenheit) and there was a 30+mph north wind blowing so I didn’t stay very long!

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 100mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/60s
