Fence Freeze

It’s cold here in Texas this week (as you may have heard). This was taken after the freezing rain but before the snowfall started on Sunday and shows the results of supercooled rain hitting a barbed wire fence.

Since then, we’ve had 6-8 inches of snow, temperatures in the single digits Fahrenheit, rolling power blackouts and pretty much everyone seems to have frozen pipes (ourselves included). Things should thaw on Friday at which point the plumbers are going to be very busy indeed.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 100mm
  • ISO: 640
  • Shutter speed: 1/200s
