Texas Memorial Stadium & Downtown Austin

I was down taking pictures at an event in Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday evening so I took advantage of being down there to pop my drone up a couple of hundred feet and take a few images of the stadium with the Austin downtown area in the background. My timing wasn’t great so I only had 5 minutes of civil twilight left by the time I got the drone airborne but I still managed to get a couple of decent images, this one being my favourite.

While the stadium dominates the foreground, many of Austin’s iconic landmarks are visible in the distance – the Erwin Center on the left, Frost Bank Tower, the Austonian and the Texas State Capitol stand out for me.

For the technically inclined...
