The Grey Spire

A lone spire stands above the grey, eroded, rolling landscape just outside Hanksville, Utah. This area looked like the surface of the moon to me but, apparently, it’s closer to Mars and NASA has a rover testing facility just a mile or so away from here.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Exposure bias: -3/10EV
  • Focal length: 300mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
