Martian Landscape I

These grey, eroded hills near Hanksville resemble pictures of alien terrain. This is the first of a short series of landscape abstracts shot from the same mesa shortly after sunrise one morning during our recent NxNW trip to Utah.

Interestingly enough, NASA actually has a Mars rover testing facility about a mile from this location.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/8
  • Camera: E-M1MarkII
  • Focal length: 47mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/180s
