Charles Leclerc, Ferrari, 2021

Charles Leclerc of Ferrari won today’s inaugural race of the 2022 Formula 1 season in Bahrain so I delved back into my collection of images from last year’s United States Grand Prix weekend to find a decent shot of him to post and found this one in a block of previously-unedited images. This was taken during the FP1 practice session on Friday morning and Leclerc had obviously got a few corners wrong because both front tires here have serious flat spots. I was very surprised to see that one appears to be worn right through to the carcass!
