Kirstyn, Addison and Emmakate

Kirstyn, Addison and Emmakate were the three talented, female dancers who kindly acted as our models for last Sunday’s dance photography workshop with Joe McNally at Art Beat Dance Center in Cedar Park. This portrait of them used a simple clamshell lighting arrangement with a single 3″x1″ soft box boomed overhead and another at knee height right in front of the camera position.

All my images from the workshop can be found at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Miscellaneous/Joe-McNally-Dance-Workshop/.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Focal length: 45mm
  • ISO: 320
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
