Grass and the Butte

We spent sunrise of the third day of our annual NxNW photography group trip photographing one of my favourite Utah locations. This spectacular butte can be found just outside the town of Hanksville. I spent most of my time flying the drone as the light changed through blue hour and after sunrise but then got out my infra-red camera to see what I can do with it. This grass plant growing on the banks of a stock pond caught my eye.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/4.5
  • Camera: E-M5MarkII
  • Focal length: 14mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/250s
