Heron by Titan III Road

Segueing nicely from space hardware back to birds, here’s a Great Blue Heron that was fishing near Titan III Road in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station as we waited for Thursday’s aborted Delta IV Heavy launch. The building in the background is SpaceX’s Payload Processing Facility.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/5.9
  • Camera: OM-1
  • Exposure bias: +5/10EV
  • Focal length: 186mm
  • ISO: 800
  • Shutter speed: 1/2000s
