Moving back in the archives, here’s a picture from our trip to Walt Disney World last June. This was taken on an evening when the family let me out late to wander around the Magic Kingdom with the tripod well after dark. Unlike many places I’ve visited, I’m delighted to report that Magic Kingdom is a very tripod-friendly location though you do have to watch out for several hundred thousand people walking through your shot.

Sweet shot Dave, did they allow tripods? Never been to Disney, I guess my parents hated me 😉

Ken, I didn’t get to Disney until I was 21 or thereabouts. I guess that comes from (a) being a foreigner (at the time) and (b) being brought up in an era when international air travel was prohibitively expensive.
As regards tripods, I had absolutely no problem at WDW and the staff were actually very helpful, allowing me to jump fences, etc. to get better shots.
Excellent Dave! I’m going there in a couple months for a couple days so this gives me some inspiration. However, not sure if will be there at night. This is a great shot and glad to hear they are friendly towards “tripodders”!

Amazing photo – I like it very much. It’s good that you could use a tripod. In Poland, where I live, it’s not that simple. You can use tripod in such a places, but you must have a permit, paid of course 🙂
Best regards, Kris
