Here’s another departure from the recent power plant and rodeo shots. This was actually taken on the day of the Seaholm Power Plant shoot. I arrived about an hour early so wandered along the railway tracks next to the plant. Austin’s Amtrak station is right there and I discovered our daily passenger train sitting there. In addition to the usual Amtrak carriages, the train was pulling this vintage A.T & S.F. car.
In talking to a couple of the passengers, I discovered that a group of friends had chartered the carriage and were travelling from San Francisco to Chicago. I didn’t get to look inside but I suspect the accommodation was pretty good.
Love the reflective shininess in the green part of the train!

I really love the layers of colour and texture – three distinct sections and they all seem to comment on the others. 🙂
