This picture moves a bit further east to somewhere in the eastern New Mexico or west Texas area. The landscape changes at this point, moving from the desert of the west to a less arid, more fertile area dominated by large, round irrigated fields.
Here in central Texas, we’re in the middle of the longest drought in local memory – we’ve had effectively no rain this spring – so the different brown and green circles here reminded me of huge gauges.
Really enjoying these shots form the plane Dave! Definitely looks like large dials on the ground. Well done!

Evan, they ended up clear after a lot of curve tweaking in Photoshop. I may post a couple of the originals over on the blog and a tutorial on cleaning them up since they definitely started out looking a lot different from the final versions.
