It’s time for the start of another mini-series. In Lightroom, I have a smart collection named “Review Required” which contains all the images that I’ve tagged on import but have not yet got round to editing. When I have time, I head in there and keyword a group of these. While doing this, I discovered a large number of exposures I shot in New York about 20 months ago. One group of these documented the day I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge (which, incidentally, was the same day they had the ticker tape parade for the Yankees after they won the World Series but that’s another story) so I thought I would show a few of the images from that walk. For the next week or so, everything will be a shot either of the Brooklyn Bridge or taken from it.
This shot shows lower Manhattan taken from the Brooklyn Bridge.
Masterful capture and processing, Jim. This image should stand as an example of how B&W images can be powerful and relevant.
Has it been that long since you were in NY? WOW. The shot came out cool!
Scott, I took this on the trip before the one where we met. On that trip, I actually got to spend 2 days walking around the city shooting (unlike back in March when I didn’t take a single shot outside the Javits Center!).
