View From The London Eye

I’m not including this in my London Eye series as such since you can’t see any part of the wheel in this shot but it seems reasonable to end with a typical “tourist shot” that I snapped while taking the 30 minute ride. This picture was taken at the high point of the rotation, looking northwards and shows central London with Charing Cross station in the foreground and the BT Tower in the top left.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/9.5
  • Camera: NIKON D700
  • Focal length: 98mm
  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter speed: 1/500s
