Goblin Valley Abstract I

I still have so many photos from the NxNW trip to Utah last November so I’ll use a few this week by posting a short series of images taken in Goblin Valley State Park near Hanksville. This was a fantastic location that we visited twice, once for sunset then the next morning for sunrise. Most of the pictures I took there were aerials (drone photography is legal in Utah state parks as long as you pay a separate license fee on entry) and many of these were abstract images of the shapes, colors and textures of the eroded landscape.

For the technically inclined...

  • Aperture: ƒ/2.8
  • Camera: FC3411
  • Focal length: 8.38mm
  • ISO: 400
  • Shutter speed: 1/100s
