This is the last aerial image of Austin’s Long Center I’m going to post in this series. The centre was opened in 2008 after an extensive renovation of the old Palmer Auditorium on the south bank of Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. It’s now the performance home to many of Austin’s premier arts organizations such as the Austin Symphony, Ballet Austin and Austin Lyric Opera and also hosts a large variety of touring shows. The complex contains the 2400 seat Dell Hall for large-scale performances, and the Rollins Studio Theatre which seats a few hundred and is used for smaller events.
