I checked another item off my bucket list yesterday with a flight in one of only two remaining airworthy World War 2 era B-24 Liberators. “Diamond Lil” was visiting San Marcos as part of this year’s AirPower History Tour. This aircraft, and several others, are maintained and flown by the Commemorative Air Force B-29/B-24 Squadron based in Dallas. Here we see pilot Al Benzing at the controls as we cruised over Canyon Lake.
