Aviat Eagle II

An Aviat Eagle II biplane seen during its aerobatic display at the Bluebonnet Air Show at Burnet Municipal Airport, Texas on March 18th, 2023.

We had flat, grey skies and poor light all day yesterday so I had some decisions to make when processing these images. In some, I opted to fiddle with the sky colour a bit (see yesterday’s photo for an example) but in the series I shot of this aircraft, increasing the exposure to turn the sky white generated some interesting, minimalist compositions that I rather like.

You can find all my images from the show at https://davewilson.smugmug.com/Events/Bluebonnet-Air-Show-2023/.

For the technically inclined...
