Visiting Abilene, Texas today, we found a different kind of elevator in the heart of the downtown area. This grain elevator sits right next to a coffee shop amid the beautifully renovated centre of the city. I had never stopped in Abilene before but I was delighted to find that it’s a charming place and definitely worthy of a longer stay next time we’re traveling through the area.
