Back to World Endurance Championship racing today. Here’s one of the LMGT3 class cars seen between turns 18 and 19 at Circuit of the Americas, Austin during the September 7th “Lone Star Le Mans” race. BMW M4 GT3 Eco number 46 was competing for Team WRT and driven by Kelvin van der Linde, Ahmad Al Harthy and Valentino Rossi. The last name may result in a double-take but, yes, it is that Valentino Rossi, “The Doctor”, famed for his legendary status in the MotoGP world where he raced for a couple of decades under number 46 with blue and yellow livery before his retirement and move to endurance racing in 2022.
