One day is far too short a time to spend in a place as amazing as Death Valley. Due to poor weather, we diverted from Bryce Canyon to Death Valley on the last day of our trip last February and had a wonderful, if rushed, day visiting the National Park. I definitely need to go back since the diversity of landscape there is quite breathtaking.
This shot shows part of Badwater Basin which, strangely enough, was a significantly sized lake when we visited. This area is several hundred feet below sea level and gets rather warm in the summer. The day we visited, the afternoon temperature got up to a very pleasant 80F or so.
Wow my friend, this awesome… I really love, the colors in this landscape.. 🙂
Spectacular! For me, it’s the contrast of colours cut by the far shore line.
Thanks for all your comments today, Andrey – I’m delighted that you like these images though I’m not sure I would go as far as to call any of them “perfect”! 🙂
