The interior of the rotunda at the beautiful Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. This was shot on a business trip about 18 months ago, a week after I got the D700. I ended up getting locked inside the building and having to leave by a back door. Strangely enough, they close the place at 5:30pm (unlike the Texas Capitol that stays open later than I’ve ever cared to stay there).
Wow, had no idea the inside was that nice! Dave, St. Paul itself closes up at 5:30, so no surprise the capitol does so too! 🙂
You’ve not been inside? I’m surprised. It’s well worth the visit. Great marble and wonderful frescos downstairs.
