House of Representatives, Texas State Capitol

This ultra-wide angle view of the House of Representatives in the State Capitol was taken from the gallery (as you can probably tell). This area is closed to visitors at weekends unless there is an event being held in the downstairs area. I had taken this shot a couple of years ago during a high school debating meeting and liked the composition but not the fact that it was filled with ghosts. This week, I dashed back on a Wednesday evening and managed to get into the gallery to retake the shot.

This is a 4 exposure HDR merged in Photomatix.

Impressive, for a place that’s used only a few weeks a year (isn’t it?).
