The Heroes of the Alamo Memorial can be found in the grounds of the Texas State Capitol. It was erected in 1891 when historical accuracy wasn’t apparently as important as it is today. As a result, 47 of the names on the memorial are not listed as having actually been at the Alamo and, of those that were there, 46 names are misspelled. Read more here.
