Austin Skyline and Reflection

I shot this image of the downtown Austin skyline during a photowalk last week. About a dozen people gathered at the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue on Lady Bird Lake and wandered up to the Capitol building and back. We returned to the lake in time for sunset and the perfect time for “blue hour” skyline shots.

This is a 12 exposure panorama – 4 camera positions, 3 exposures per position. I merged the exposures into 4 HDR images which I tone mapped then merged the resulting 4 TIFFs into this panorama. To get the full effect and see the detail in the original image, take a look at the full resolution version over on Flickr.
