Memorial Day Remembrance

Walking up 5th Avenue in New York during my visit in October, I was struck by what appeared to be a yellow fence around a church. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a memorial for casualties of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Members of Marble Collegiate Church at 5th Ave and 29th St had hung yellow ribbons and name cards for each person killed in the conflict on their church railings and others had added their own tributes later.
