Ducks in a Row

A bit of a change of pace today, I think, with a happy little shot. This (completely conventional, non-HDR, hardly touched at all) image was taken at the Austin Rodeo Carnival earlier this year. I used a long lens to compress the perspective and chose a depth-of-field that helped pick out the pair of ducks in the middle of the frame. I would have loved it had one of the ducks in shades was in the middle but, despite taking several shots, the one where the pack opened enough to create a clear reflection only had two of the ordinary ducks in the right position.

I really like this photo.. it’s not everyday you get a perspective on a rubber duck! Love the DOF in this, as well.
