Standing Out From The Crowd

I spent some time this afternoon shooting macros around our home. With all the rain we’ve had, there are large numbers of wildflowers blooming just now including clumps of these tiny (half inch?) daisies.

I would normally strive to keep as much of the flower in focus as possible and I did shoot quite a few at smaller apertures that do this. In editing, however, I preferred the images I shot with shallower depth of field. I think the overall softness complements the delicacy of the flower.

Bravo! I was just thinking of doing the same. Love that softness to the image.
