As an aside, I would love to know who publicised the URLs to the Longhorn Band pictures on the site yesterday. The blog traffic was up somewhere around 800% for the day with all the additional views being on the band images. My statistics don’t show any referring web site so I suspect that someone emailed a link to the whole band but, if you know, I would be interested to hear what happened since it was obviously very effective!
Do your statistics not show if Facebook was the referring website? That’s how I got here.
Facebook is listed as a referrer and I get quite a bit of traffic from there. Over 90% of yesterday’s traffic, however, was listed without any referring site which typically means that someone either typed in the URL manually or clicked a link in an email.
