Delving back into the archives, this is an image I shot in the summer of 2009 during our last trip back to Scotland. I was shooting that morning with Karl Williams (Flickr users likely know him better as “Shuggie!!”) and we ended our photowalk inside the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum just below my alma mater, the University of Glasgow. Just as I finished shooting these images, we were approached by 3 rather serious security guards who told us that tripod use wasn’t allowed “for copyright reasons”. Rather than argue, I just turned the ISO up a couple of stops, stuck on a faster lens and continued shooting handheld.
Love it Dave. Beautiful balance between the light and shadow.

Thanks, gents! This is a favourite place of mine despite the over-zealous security guards.
Great shot Dave! The detail is superb!
