Airborne Rider

Here’s a follow-on from yesterday’s shot taken with a slightly longer lens (a 50mm on a crop sensor body) from exactly the same position as yesterday’s shot. The rider fills the frame better but I rather like the dramatic effect introduced by including more of the background in the previous version. What do you think?

I actually like the wider version better. Both are intense and great captures!

Wow! You’ve captured the extreme intensity of the moment in this shot. Beautifully, tack sharp. I’m looking for a place for him to land, so I tend to like the wider version better.

This lens selection definitely adds more dram to the scene. Nice job.

Thanks, all! I think I’m with you, Scott. Although this is a crisper, tighter image of the rider, the previous shot has better context and I think the composition is more interesting.
