Drivers In Waiting, FRC New York Regional

A couple of the drivers notice me pointing a long lens in their direction as they wait for the start of a game in the FIRST Robotics Competition New York Regional at Javits Center, New York City.

I was fortunate to have great access to the game field during matches at this competition thanks to my official volunteer badge. The way the field was laid out, however, restricted shooting to one side so I couldn’t get some of the angles I had been hoping for. I did, however, get quite a few shots of various team members waiting behind the drivers’ stations and this is one of my favourites.

Your focus is spot on here, it makes for a very engaging portrait – nice one!
