Crusty Cadillac, Johnson City, Texas

I’m sure some of you are beginning to wonder if I’ve lost the faith. After all, it’s been more than a week (maybe even 2) since I posted a tonemapped image! Well, just in case you were worrying, here’s one to break the “long dry spell”.

I took this shot in Johnson City on a ridiculously cold January day when David Nightingale was in town. We would shoot for about an hour then head to the local cafe to warm up before heading back out again.

I’lll likely post other images of this car later since the textures on the sun-bleached roof were fabulous. For now, though, here’s a detail of its headlamp and grille.

Amazing work Bob! The composition is right on, and the clouds rock.

I’m glad you like the picture, Greg but Bob had nothing to do with this one. He only retweeted my link 🙂

Great image. I like the contrast between the iconic Cadillac elements such as the grill, head lights, logos, and the rough, worn texture of the body and paint. Makes me kind of sad for the poor Cadillac to have been subject to such a beating from the elements.
