View from 8A – Wing and Cloudbase

Yes, I know I’m cheating here since, as anyone who has flown on a 737 will tell you, seat 8A is well forward of the wing. I’m enjoying this series enough that I reckoned I could expand it to include some iPhone shots I took on the way out when I was sitting in, I think 19A (or perhaps 21A, I can’t remember).

This was taken fairly close to landing at LAX on the way out from Austin and I was attracted to the lone hill poking up through the cloud layer.

I used Camera+ to shoot and process the picture. It’s my new, favourite camera app and has some great filters including a set of analog lookalike options that includes a filter called “Chromogenic” which I’ve fallen in love with.

Dave, did you the “chromogenic” filter on this shot? I really like the out put if it is. Great job.

Yes, this image is a product of the chromogenic filter in Camera+. The result is a bit grainy but I really like it.
