The Feed Station

I had a new series of images queued up for this week but managed to get an hour or so this morning to shoot a location I’ve been keen to visit (when I’m not in a hurry to buy chicken food) so those images can wait.

Out on Highway 290 about half way from Austin to Dripping Springs is a great collection of old railway buildings and wagons that have been repurposed for use as a feed store and a decking supply business. The Feed Station is run by a friend of ours but I hadn’t got round to asking her whether it would be OK to shoot around the property. Hopefully she’ll forgive me for sneaking in on Labor Day morning!

The light was fabulous this morning and I got some great images that I’ll be posting over the next week or so.

If anyone has been missing HDRs on the photoblog recently, you should be happy for the next while since the vast majority (all but 2, I think) of these images are tone-mapped.
