Tomorrow, I’m very excited to have been asked to help shoot pictures for the University of Texas Longhorn Band during a game at Texas Memorial Stadium. I was invited a couple of times last year too and it was the highlight of my photographic year so I’m very much looking forward to this weekend’s game too. I’m hoping to fill out a few more shots and pull a photo essay together after the game, combining this game with the last two.
In preparation for some new pictures next week, here’s one of my favourites from the Florida Atlantic game last season. It shows Drum Major David Forinash conducting the band during the second half of the game. The vast majority of my favourite shots from that evening were taken around this time when the sky took on a fabulous indigo colour and made a superb background. Fingers are crossed for similar light tomorrow night!
