Ailie's Vennel

This picture is about 5 years old now and was shot in the village of Culross in Fife during a family trip back to Scotland. The original showed my wife on the right edge but I preferred the image with only the single figure of my son visible.

In case there’s any confusion about the title, “vennel” is a Scots word for a narrow lane or alley.

This is a very nice “story” shot, Dave. And the stone details are nicely done.

Thanks, Bob. The oldies are definitely the best, aren’t they? Actually, come to think of it, the D70 files are horrible compared to the D700 ones and I’m embarassed to notice that this one’s EXIF says I took it in Program mode. Someone must have hacked my file or I bumped the mode dial by mistake, obviously.

But P stands for professional doesn’t it? 😉 since I’m a amateur I use the A mode 😉

Either way a very nice shot!!!
