Python Patterns

From one end of a snake to the other. Here’s a pattern shot showing the tip of Monty’s tail. Capturing these images was significantly trickier than I had anticipated since the snake was pretty active. I was shooting with a 24-70mm, a short extension tube (to allow me to focus closer than I would otherwise be able to do with that lens) and a two-head macro flash. If I had time to go back and do it again, I would have played with the lights a bit more and tried to diffuse them a bit. I would also have turned the ISO up a bit and shot at f/22 to get a bit more depth of field.
