Mutton Buster, Rodeo Austin

I saved this one for last. Despite all the action of the professional events at the rodeo, the one event that attendees always clamour for and score highest on surveys is this one – “Mutton Busting”.

This is kiddie rodeo. A group of boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 10, and equipped with number bibs and crash helmets get to ride a sheep, the winner being the one who can hang on the longest.

This participant was just about to get to the end of his run but he’s determined to make it last as long as possible!
