This is the view from the turnaround in the Piney Hill Camping Area at Bastrop State Park. At the time we visited a couple of weeks ago, this was as far into the park as you could go due to road and trail closures. Tomorrow, however, the vast majority of the park will reopen giving access to 5500 acres or so that had been closed since last September.
