The “Republic of Texas Biker Rally” is in town this weekend so I spent some time down around 6th and Congress on Friday evening with Pete Talke, Andy “Atmtx” and Jim Nix to see if I could grab some shiny chrome.
You may have seen other biker rallies but this is the daddy of them all. I don’t know this year’s official attendance but in years past there have been up to 200,000 bikers in town for a weekend of parades and events.
While I’m not a bike rider myself (my only motorcycle experience was a rather scary evening riding as a pillion passenger in Germany at the age of 15), I love the beautiful engineering in these machines and you definitely see some of the very best examples during this rally!
I’ll be posting a few shots over the next 3 days but please take a look at the other guys’ blogs too since I had to leave before the main parade and before it got dark when the bike’s lighting and HDR should have made for some outstanding shots.
