Part of the show floor at Formula Expo was given over to a great collection of historic British cars. I was going to say “sports cars” but the list included a couple of Rolls Royces so that adjective probably doesn’t apply in general.
This image shows part of an Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III which was built between 1964 and 1967. The Austin-Healey company was formed in 1952 and built 4 main models of sports car until going out of business in 1972.
With the sale of MG Rover Group (the successor to British Leyland which itself was formed by a merger which included the Austin company) and the Healey brand to a Chinese manufacturer, there have recently been rumours of a Healey comeback but, as of June 2012, no new Austin-Healey model is in production.
