Honomu Theatre Box Office

About 4 miles from Akaka Falls State Park, you pass through the town of Homonu, a quaint little village containing a collection of galleries, bakeries, cafes and this derelict theatre. A crumbling sign suggests that it opened in 1931 and was presunably owned or run by “H. Takamoto and Sons”. This shot shows the boarded up box office window whose flaking paint and rust textures called to me as we walked past.

Once again, the original D700 picture was processed emtirely in Snapseed though I used Filterstorm to downscale to the final blog dimensions.

That’s a great image – love the monochrome approach.
