Sailing at Lahaina

When we were last down in Lahaina, the local sailing club was having a competition and a flotilla of kid-filled dinghies were racing around the harbour. I have vivid memories of sailing in uncomfortably cold conditions in the lake at Strathclyde Park and I’m willing to bet that learning here on Maui is a whole lot more fun.

As we left, the kids were starting their capsize drill and we could hear whoops of laughter as they deliberately overturned their boats and dumped themselves in the water. That was definitely something you tried to avoid at all costs back in Scotland!
