Tunnel View IR Panorama

This shot is in my Best of 2012 collection but, looking at the metadata in Lightroom, I see I’ve not actually posted it here yet. It’s a multi-shot panorama and, given that it’s a lot wider than most of the images I publish here, I probably decided against posting a while ago for image size reasons. The wider aspect ratio and the 900 pixel restriction with the current site layout mean that the image area is a bit smaller than I would normally like.

The image shows one of Yosemite National Park’s iconic views – El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls from Tunnel View. If you would like to see the image at full resolution, you can find it over on Flickr.

I’ve been here many times, but this is a very unique perspective. The IR lends a very different feel to this view. Well done!

Absolutely stunning IR image Dave. I can’t stop staring at it.
