Saturday was a major annual event here in Dripping Springs, Texas – the Cub Scout Pack 101 Pinewood Derby! For the first time ever, Drew and I managed to build a car whose wheels were straight and rolled well and he did pretty well in a field of fast cars. Although he didn’t get into the top 3 in his rank, he did get an award for the design of the car so he was pretty chuffed. Two of the top 3 Webelos-I scouts (Drew’s rank) went on to take 2nd and 3rd places in pack-wide competition so that felt pretty good too.
