Austonian

Here’s the only other non-portrait I’m posting from the G+ downtown photo walk last week. It shows a section of the Austonian building as the sun was going down. This is the tallest residential building in Texas as far as I am aware and it sits on Congress Avenue about 10 blocks south of the Capitol.

By the way, if you were on the walk and want to know who is winning the big prizes, you may like to listen in to “Trey’s Variety Hour” on Monday March 25th at 9pm CST when the winners will be revealed. I’ll be on the panel that night to help out. Note that announcement was put back 1 week from the date in Trey’s blog post.

I find architecture fascinating, and I love these types of closed landscape shots where the eye can drift around the windows and balconies…and often there is always a previously unspotted cat or bird somewhere.

Thanks, Tony. Now that you mention it, I wish there was someone in a bright red or yellow dress standing on one of those balconies!
